Thought I'd put one of my favorite models up today. I built this some time ago entered a contest in 2006 with it and won Modelers Choice(voted on by the members of the club putting on the show) Later I presented to "Big Daddy" himself at a drag race where he was , He said it would be put in the museum in Florida. Quite a honor! Mel
This is a 1938 Mercedes-Benz B. S. Levy Special. It is a phantom. The car was originally a Grand Prix car. It has a 4 cam, 32 valve, supercharged, dry-sumped, 3 liter V-12 that made about 450-475hp mounted in a sophisticated frame with huge brakes and a de Dion tube rear suspension. This started out as a 1962 Hawk kit glue-bomb. I scratch built the wheels and made decals with real gold leaf.
Ok so i just got a 65 chevy stepside and i was wondering if anyone built one if you have could you post pics.
sadlyy i didnt build itt **** i bought this onee off a guy selling custom smashed up looking models at the track i think his name was auto-rex ? but anywayy im suree everyonee remembers this evil little car
wow , my work isn't as good as above , but hear is an old hubley model that i have been working on for a while. i found that some parts from 1/18 scale models fit real nice on the 1/22 scale hubley . i put a stock coupe beside it so that you can see the difference in them .
here are a few my dad built a long time ago.... been built as long as i can remember. i left the dust on a couple for that "barn find" feel !
