Guess I'll start it off this morning.. This I found on the net.. It's on the o/t side, but I sure love the detail that went into it. The model is based on the Monogram 1/24 scale '91-'95 F-350 Dualie pickup model kit.. Lot's of scratchbuilding went into this model.. Looks real don't it????
These are two of my models I'm currently working on. Both need minor details done still but I figured i might as well post 'em. First is a 41 Chevy wrecker. It's not a correct wrecker because the towing gear is from a 34 ford, but I do what I can with what I have. The other is a 34 ford rat rod I made from 3 'n 1 lindberg kit. This one took awhile and was actually rather difficult with my limited supplies, but i think it came out ok. Once I finish the little details it'll look better I think.
Here's one that my pal sent me... This one is based on the AMT 1/16 scale '63 Vette kit that got scratchbuilt into a gasser.. Nice!! Credit goes out to a Mr. Dave Loye from the 1/16 scale "Dragin' Modelers group" for building this one..
wow, that's really good lookin. I wish they'd let me have an airbrush in my dorm room so I could do better paint jobs, but no, I just have a "paint booth" (garbage bag and cardboard boxes) that vents out the window that I use to paint the main body parts with spray cans, and I wind up having to hand paint everything else.
Here is one of three 60 F100's I have. It was a rough body with the bodyline removed. So I chopped it, shortened the bed more, added a tube grille,55 chevy p/u bumpers, caddy tailights, and slammed on steelies. Then a 50 ford shoebox, rusted out and chopped, fuel injected flathead...
I don't often see many large scale builds here so thought I'd throw this into todays mix. This started out as a MF 8th scale fibreglass Willys coupe body. I've cut it up (appologies to the purists) with the intent to create a woody. This is just a very rough concept right now but I like the direction its going. Power will be one of the new TDR 6 litre hemi engines.
Have you looked into Propel compressed air cans by Badger? I use these occasionally when it's too cold or wet to use my compressor out on the patio. Like my old daddy used to say: "The worlds worst airbrush is better than the worlds best spraycan."
Nice stuff this week guys. Didn't do any significant modeling this week other than upgrading my diorama. Added some vegetation and changed the billboard. The kit is the "built, unpainted" vicky I got on ebay.
No I haven't heard of that, but now I'm definitely going to look into it before I start my next build. Thanks!
I did one of those 32 Roadsters, got it as a built up that was very trashed, it was a fun build. Doc.
