    Thanks man!
I came up with another idea when I was thinking about it. You'd have to be careful, but you could cut the outer part of the rim off, then use one from another chrome wheel to replace it. I'd give it a shot now if I didn't have this cough and fever.

RAF, I love those race team setups. Very cool combinations.

A simple model but perfect parts choices and ***embly. You and Tim Boyd always make it look right with consistent era builds.

Modelhaus makes a '51 conversion for the AMT '49-'50 coupe and convertible kits. they did at one point and maybe still do also offer 2-door sedan bodies and a Crestliner.

commission builds are hard to find people open to taking on and doing. you could try posting a request on the Model Cars magazine forums and see what kind of responses you get there.

DDlova, the spindle mounts on the Willys made me drool just like the real thing. Amazing! Nice to see the "weathered" look, I wanna get in it and rip gears!

You guys take this stuff to another level. I used to build military models because I thought car models weren't that realistic. The foil chrome makes a big difference. I recently bought a 1964 Comet model and noticed people are selling drag racing wheels and hoods for the kit on EBay. Maybe one day.

  18. Would love a L'il Coffin kit. Last time I saw a L'il Coffin it was almost $100 bucks, the release a while ago was ok they were only asking $80 for them, still too rich for a parts kit!

20 years ago when I was first based out in Rapid City in the USAF I drove around to all the local towns within 100 miles or so and bagged a bunch of old (1970s and '80s) model car kits. I canv***ed old drug stores, variety stores, etc., and I wound up with about 10 L'il Coffins a**** my haul. That was about the last time you could do that and not have gotten beaten to the place by another kit collector. Of course the model companies realized that collector-mania was getting underway 20 years ago so they re-released such kits as the L'il Coffin several more times since then. Think of how many times any AMT cl***ic like the '57 Chevy hardtop had been released in the 1962-80 period and then since 1980. Dozens of times. And to think I used to go far and wide hoping to find one when they were (momentarily) out of production.
