scratch built 29 coupe body, using AMT 28 Tudor, AMT 29 roadster, and monogram 30 coupe kits. I had planned on building a 1:1 version, but at 79, I don’t have the energy for one last build.

a less satisfactory 29 coupe was based on modifying a very incorrect resin body. It looked pretty good when finished.

  4. A few of my parts box cobble jobs. All are original 60s models. Blue roadster with fenders I would have tried to restore as an original build but whoever got ahold of it last really butchered it FB_IMG_1766369623973.jpg FB_IMG_1766369627341.jpg FB_IMG_1766369329432.jpg FB_IMG_1766369264017.jpg FB_IMG_1766369207085.jpg FB_IMG_1766369209441.jpg

Another one finished today - AMT 1953 Ford Pickup.
This one is an old gluebomb that I restored.

I just discovered this thread, I'll just post my current project. This is further along than this now but this is the last photo I took of it.

It's been a while since visited, but I have a puzzle. This is the trailer from the original issue AMT 1964 Corvette. It was only issued once. I got an old built up and stripped it. My question is if there were any real trailers made like this?
The trailer deck looks similar to Marsden planks. and it would be pretty light weight. Probably not ideal for bigger cars.
Anyway, if anyone has seen a 1:1 version or has any ideas, I'd love to hear!

My brother in law used them on a trailer in the '60's. He was a Millwright and welded it up using those landing mats. As I remember he hauled full size pickups with no problem.

I'll post up here since this a model albeit scratch built. This is my avatar. A '41 Willys in 1/4 scale with a mocked up 1/3 scale blown smallblock. During this latest cold weather I cast some wheels for the front. Halibrands and Torque Thrust five spokes and mounted the slicks on the 9" so I could radius the rear fenders.

The model kit that set my future was the Green Hornet, got it for Christmas in ‘65 & I still build the occasional model. The ‘40 coupe the sectioned shoebox are some IMG_3410.jpeg of my recent ones.[ IMG_3410.jpeg IMG_3411.jpeg IMG_3755.jpeg IMG_3756.jpeg IMG_4337.jpeg
