a friend of mine is building an awesome clone of an old race car he had in the 60s, and he needs to fine stock model a wheels (spokes) for the front. its 1/8th scale. is there anywhere he can buy them,,, or a complete model a model would be fine. i'll post photos of it when he sends me some. its real cool. thanks -jeff
http://toys.search.ebay.com/1-8_Automotive_W0QQfromZR4QQsacatZ2580QQsatitleZ1Q2f8QQssPageNameZWLRS I think you will only find euro style wire wheels, nothing like the fords and america cars. But i can be wrong. Pocher kits are fucking exspensive, so keep that in mind if you find something you like.
yeah, right now he has wheels from a pocher kit.. he put the wheels together with not all the spokes.. looks good for now. thanks -jeff
I saw this car on saturday and he has pocher wheels on it now and they are too flimsy and the deatail on this thing is incredable
Jeff just sent a PM saw this at the show in Mass Saturday we may have talked there I know I talked to the builder
Jeff I forgot to tell you get him to reproduce those OLDS heads he made for that engine !there will be a market for those !
Lindberg's t-bucket 3 in 1 kit had wire wheels that are almost like ford wheels. Closer than pocher, but then they don't have the spoke detail that pocher's wheels had.
the pocher wheels will work for now, so he'll keep those until he finds the exact ones. thanks for the leads.
I thought I just read that they are going to be re-releasing all the lindberg 1/8 scale kits this year. Can't remember how many but I think there were 3 or 4 kits.
Yep, they should all be coming out this year, I think 2nd quarter. There was the single-twin engine dragster, and a 3-in-1 t-bucket. There was two other variations of the t-bucket, but without the cool extra parts.
Yep, the dragster and bucket are 1/8th scale. I heard that the 3 in 1 kit with the spoke wheels will be back, but I can't confirm positively.
