I bought this '32 roadster model with the box, plus the '40 Ford box and some extra parts today because it was cheap as hell and cool looking. Can anyone tell me what year this stuff is? Just curious.

The Deuce is 1964-ish and the '40 is from 1960 (I think).

Yeah, Dago Red is right about the dates of that stuff. Cool find, wish I could run across more of that kind of stuff, CHEAP!***** on eBay goes for WAY too much! I'd also be interested in any other finds you make.

Thanks, Dago. I bought the only two he had at a flea market for $5.

  6. Flea markets are good places to find this stuff. There are model car clubs that hold contests and swap meets all over the country. Some guys come in with boxes full of parts from the old kits (that were left out of the kits when there were re-isued in later years) and you should see the crowds those boxes attract!
This is where eBay is good. Use it for an education. Learn what is out there and how to identify it when you find it.

thanks guys! I'm looking for a 1925 Ford Model T Coupe. I've already done the research, now I'm just looking for them. (Sorry for the*****py pics, internet garbage.)

In 1960 AMT introduced the first Model T in the long line of Model T kits to come. (this is the pic on the top). Its called the Double T kit. It includes parts for two complete models. A stock roadster and a chopped coupe hot rod.

In 1965 AMT came out with the unchopped version. (second pic) Check out the moon discs!

Anyways, I've been unsuccessful finding either one. If you have one or find one, let me know! Thanks guys! [IMG]

  12. I bought a few old ones off of ebay last year ,but stopped, cause If you think us car guys are nuts, watch the bidding on those old models , I have seen some double dragster kits (willys/fiat)go for over $150! empty boxes for over $20! That blue on the 32 toppless was the first paint job my willys /fiat kit got back in 64.I'd love to get some of the 1/25 12 spokes out of that kit now.Hell the whole kit if I could find it-affordable.

They have recently re-released a version of the top. It only has the raodster body, but it has a ton of neat parts like the Lincoln and multi-car set ups.
That might work if you were wanting a builder kit....

I'll keep my eyes peeled, but the older kits, as you know, bring a fair price.

I've got the 25' T coupe kit you're looking for. It's unbuilt, in the original box and the box is in excellent shape. I'm not a dealer, just bought the kit because it took me back to my heavy modeling days in the early sixties. The box is unusual as it has two compartments, bodies on one side, parts on the other. I also have a Monogram kit from the same era. It's a 1930 touring, has those neat cone shaped hub caps. It has been partially built but everything is there. It's in a long narrow flat box and the box is good. You can build it three ways. The box is good. Got em at garage sales. Sam

So... Mo Junk.... Im very excited that you have the model, but you never said they were for sale. Do you want to part with them, or are you just giving me hope that they still exsist? [IMG]

Monster, that 25 T body (chopped and unchopped) is also available as a resin cast. You'd need the current AMT 25T to finish it. PM me if you want more info.

  18. Mike, those 12 spoke wheels are in many AMT kits, most recently the '56 Ford.
