    Thank You for sharing. Amazing machines . Back in 09 when we had a snow storm followed by a ice storm. A neighbor had a John Deere snow machine . His son got it running and went across the frozen wheat fields . The airboat owners were out sliding over the ice covered fields also .

    Wasn’t uncommon where I live to see the remains of snow machines powered by Continental aircraft engines. Basically a frame work covered in canvas with skis. The engine was mounted in back, with a large caged in prop. Most I’ve seen had one ski in front and 2 in back. Looked like fun.

  11. Heres a 1937 Ford slantback tudor i had some 22 odd years ago . It had a Arps snowbird conversion. Doors were sliced just above the height of the steel snowtracks. Otherwise you could,nt get in.Also a pic of the rear axle fitting which is much wider than the car so as to accommodate the tracks. Also a pic of the front ski attachment.
