If you are into Model T Ford Speedsters and Speed Equipment I have a question for you.......... do you know anyone with a finished project? I've bought, traded and sold stuff for well over 45 years now and never had a running T Speedster. I treated myself to a Buffalo front hub last week on "That Auction Site" a nice mate to the one I bought in the Spring of 1994. I really should have keep the Buffalo wheeled Speedster I sold in 1980, but I needed money to finish the house. So now I have all the bits to put a nice front end together, dropped T front axle, Chevrolet spindles with steering arms, ROOF underslung brackets that I recast so many years ago, and a NOS wishbone. The single arm Hartford shocks will get attached somehow. Sandblast and prime is the next step, check the hubs to be sure they spin true. Once that is done I'll move onto the rear axle. Having all the parts on a section of shelving and organized is something new to me, it may help get things done. Bob :)

Yes, a Bobtail like the Noel Bullock and Rajo Jack cars. I've got a few other bits and pieces to add to the pile. I want to have the front end done and in primer before moving on to other things. The engine I plan to use was on an ice cutter that was in a guys ba*****t that flooded one winter when Long Island Sound got stormey. The accessorie engine girdle was made in Mystic, Connecticut. With these salt water connections it might wind up on a beach in New Jersey some day. Bob

That is very high on my Top Six list. Bob :D

  13. This will be great. Im sure your'll have it done before my speedster. I wanted an A, but that become a Hudson. The T will be much cooler.

AAArrrggghhh! How cool! Yes I will check and make sure my cutter still has my kickup patterns on file as per your P.M. from today. You are building exactly what I had in mind for a speedster all these years. The other good news is that might get yet another chance at doing one of these, as the next project in at my joint is a full ch***is for a full fendered '25 tub that I'm sure will leave it's original frame behind some how...

This one showed up at the East-West flathead reliability run this year and then went back east and played on the sand.

There were a number of speedster style cars there and I'd bet that there are a lot of PNW flathead guys digging in their saved back stuff piles to get the basics for one after seeing them there.

Hello The37Kid, I sure hope you do start a build / photo thread on this project. My Avatar is a drawing of the Speedster that I plan to build. I have worked on the design for over two years and plan to make the body out of aluminum. Good luck with your project. Thomas

Bought this frame at Hershey 2013, still has factory paint on it! Setup for new kickups, it will get another front crossmember with the 8 1/2 setback just like the Robert Roof cars had in the 1920's. Dragging out all these parts has been a lot of fun. That aluminum hogs head has a tab TIG welded to the top for use on a later style block with the two bolts that stiffen things up. Bob

You're right Mac, the frame was so good I couldn't p*** up the deal, it was under priced because the back was missing 24 inches, but I just saw that as the space for the new kickups with a new 88 inch wheelbase ch***is. Here is a shot of the engine girdle, has a patent date of 9,11,17, sitting on the hogs head. It goes under the pan with the side brackets attaching to the side bolts on the pan legs. Bob :)

Had these Hartford shocks soaking in P B Blaster, got one link removed. the star washer nut is going to sit a bit longer. These were in the collapsed chicken coop parts stash I bought about 5 years ago. They'll mount on the front crossmember. If all goes well I'll have some other parts to add to the pile tomorrow. Bob
