I have a traditional 29 Highboy and I saw a picture of one with a Model T gas tank with a sender unit on it. Can they be bought that way or was it modified? I like the look of the tank versus the spun aluminum one I have now. I am 68 years young and I like the old look. THX. Jay Ocala, FL

Model T gas tanks do not come with any kind of sending unit. Most T guys use a graduated wooden stick thru the filler hole.

I use the stick and odometer technique.

I added a SW sending unit to a round Model T tank I had.

I don't know if they sell them that way though, I would imagine it was probably modified.

How about adding one of these from a marine vendor to a repro tank?

Thanks for your ideas. I do like the marine fuel gauge. I will have to go on the hunt for one to check out the depth. THX. Jay
