Hello! Not at all up to date on the Model T as it changed styles throughout it's build period. Was given this body along with later parts. I'm pretty good on the Model A and later, but am stumped on this. These eyes of mine must be looking past the obvious differences. Hope someone can help me. Thanks!!
The upper cowl piece is early perhaps 17 to early 23, and is much more narrow than the late 23-25. That's the main difference in those bodies. When I built the Spalding Roadster (copy) I switched the upper cowl section.
FlatheadGary and Marty, thank you for your quick replies. Marty, I really enjoy the pics you sent along! I too will be using an inline 6 ... Ford 223 with matching Fenton 2x1 intake and dual exhaust manifold. Acquired a Ford I6 to early flathead transmission bellhousing some years ago. The transmission, banjo rear, and wide fives you can see in the pics I used. They do include the backing plates and parts for juice brakes. I'll start my own build thread here in a few weeks. Marty is correct, 23 and prior we call low cowl, 24 to 25 high cowl. The difference is a lower hood and radiator, along with vertical windshield stanchions on the early models, and slanted back on the 24 & up
