Not a lot done on the t this week, but did get all the drums off to check the brakes the fronts are in great shape look to have been redone. the rear look like they were from the bottom of a lake.I know now why they were working someone had moved the rods to the e brake. kinda a mess but i can fix that. My question is i have a complete rear from a 35 pickup brakes have been redone on it. Will they fit or can i make the 35 brakes on the A rear? I search the forum with no luck, not cause its not there. Its just im stupid when it comes to searching threads.

    Nice work.
What size tubing did you use, and how did you make the rounded rear corner.

    Thanks,

I didnt use tubing i used sheet metal, same thickness as the sub rail. bent it just like the org but into 2 pieces, welded it together. Then had to slice down the top long ways in rear to bring it in to match wheel well. Then broke the back part in 2 pieces, welded it but left it short.Used my brake to bend the corner rolled out the creases with English wheel. Then made a curved piece for the top and bottom welded all together and a lot of grinding.Turned out good i thought

1926 t 2.jpg Got the t on the road! well sort of ,up and down driveway. I made a header used the intake that was on motor rebuilt carb, changed radius rods on rear, mine were rusted out, installed 35 ford truck brakes in front, rebuilt model a brakes out back ,body is mounted a little to forward to get factory pedals to work. The tires are just to get around for now going with Firestone 6.50/16 on back ,5.00/16 in front on 35 wires. working on 5 speed conversion as the crash box has 2 gear issue (jumps out) but still drive-able.Cut all new floor boards.Still lookin for the right radiator and shroud but got mine looking better dropped radiator and chopped shell 4 in View attachment 2666294

Decided to ditch the banger had a main bearing issue. So for the last couple of month i re-powered my t 1935 Flathead motor and trans hooked to the A rear, new excelsior tires . Retaining mech brakes for now they are 35 also.In the process of setting up 35 rear for juice brakes now and gathering the parts for the front. Runs and drives great and very happy i went with the v8. Still lookin for a 28-9 grill shell and a t deck lid if any one has these parts for sale 0930141755.jpg
