depends where you are located. I went to an auction on a cold winter day a month and half ago and they were bringing $2500 to $3500 for the t trucks and they needed everything too. Price probably would have been even higher if the weather was nicer?

Does it have a title, and is the box the small steel one or is this a big flatbed type truck?

If it's titled and has a regular pickup box, $2K seems like a pretty good deal to me. Big differences between 26-27 and the earlier ones though too, so that'll make a difference.

If it's a big truck where all you will be using is the cab and maybe the hood and grille, and doesn't have a title, then I'd say that's way too much.

You might have a good deal or not, depending on way more details which are needed.

  4. If it has a clear title that you can just take down to the registry with a BOS, $2k is a fair price in MA, almost regardless of condition as long as it's complete, IMO.

  5. Ford only built T pickups for 3 years. 25 was the first factory Ford P/U. They are quite rare, since they were introduced mid year. 26/27s are fairly common, though there are a lot more 26s since T production shut down in early 27 to retool for the Model A.

Also, are we talking closed-cab or an RPU? That might make a difference too, especially if the RPU is a touring with a box replacing the back portion.

This truck is a roadster body with the steel ford rear bed.It was under a tarp so couldn't tell if it had driver side door or any special features. It did not appear to have the windshield frame but not sure, the owner said I could stop by any time. More snow coming so will have to wait, It is not actively for sale so I hope to take a look later this week.

We would still have to know if it's a '25 type or a '26-'27 type, but in either case if it is complete and not melted completely it's probably is worth in the neighborhood of 2000.00 or so. Personally I'd start at about 1500.00 and see where that would take you. A '26-'27 bodied car will be worth more right out of the gate than the earlier style to too.

  9. Don't worry about it missing the windshield frame. That's easy to replace with original or reproduction parts. The thing you need to look at is the subframe. Right now that stuff isn't being reproduced and finding original replacements didn't work out for me so I doubt you'd have better luck. That's something that needs to be repaired or fabricated.

It looks like we may only get 2-4" then head into warmer weather fortunately so the week isn't shot at least. Take some pictures so we can see the thing.

  10. Price seems fair to me, I had a shot at getting a tudor with the top cut off a few years ago and had no problem finding a buyer for $1500 just on description alone.

Of course, the idiots in the yard clearing it scrapped it on me, but...
