I have been searching the web for Model T pickups and TT trucks (closed cabs). From what I have seen there isn't any difference between any of the 23 - 27s.

Did Ford just punch out the same ole truck for all these years? Rather than make any changes like they did in the cars?

why the surprise? Henry made the T for 17 years. He really thought it was the solution for all time and would never have to be replaced.

The 26-27 TT closed cabs were an upgrade from the 23-25 TT's, cowls and doors are different.

No I'm sorry I don't but I will start looking!

This is one of the Ts in question. It is stated to be a 27. But the cowl looks older to me... that is till I looked on the Model T club of America's site. But the further I looked I noticed the 24, 25, 26 all look the same.

But this is the one I'd like to sure is a 27 or not.

    Frank,
Thats what I thought to. That is till I started looking around, now I'm all confused! Like I said the web site I got it from says it's a 27. I would have thought 24 or 25.

This, according to the National Model T Registery, is a 27. It looks like the purple one. So maybe their both 27s???

Okay now look at this one. It is listed as a 24. I can't see any difference between this one and the purple and green one.

Ok, I finally got my answer.

All closed cab Model TT trucks are the same from 24 - 27 with NO body changes what so ever. The only difference is the switch plate on the dash, sqaure for the 24 and 25. And oval for the 26 and 27.

So yes the purple one is a 27. But made to look half ton (I guess you'd say) with the small bed and complete fenders.

Come on now, don't cut Henry short. The T was made for 19 years, 09 to 27.

No Terry, I have to disagree, there is a 26-27 TT cab. I'll try to post photos later (the "New" HAMB photo attachment has changed). The 26-27 cowl is smooth, but the big differance is in the doors. 23-25 have TWO rolled beads under the window, 26-27 have a normal belt moulding. I'm not sure if they interchange with 26-27 Coupe & Tudors, but they look close in the photos. I'm using "Ford Trucks Since 1905" by James K. Wagner for my information source. That purple truck in the above photo is a 23-25 style cab.

I can post photos again!!!! Just remembered a bit of Ford history, the truck lines T, TT, A and AA were the dumping grounds for all outdated parts. You might get a 1926 TT truck with a leftover 23-25 cab, but there is a 1926-27 "Style" cab that was offered, like the one I just posted. Here is a photo of a 23-25 Style cab, note the cowl shape and door beads. Just trying to help not start an argument.
