Now I have the plan sorted for my front end, thanks all, its time to start planning out the rear. This winter will be ripping out the C2 vette rear for a couple reasons and going to a 9 inch and ladder bar set up. Failing that a 8.8 with ladder bars. Tossing up with going with coil overs (least prefered) or traverse spring. Either way will need a new crossmember. I have a rear T spring laying around I bought for my A coupe to lower it but that car now has a new caretaker. Just sitting here with a beverage thinking if I could use that and a tubular buggy spring cross member with the T spring with appropiate mounts on the 9 inch? Pic from Cory`s site.
It should work as long as your happy with the ride height.A straight cross member will lift the car. In the early days it was common to use the Model A rear cross member with a A, or T spring in a 34. This was done to clear a quick change rear end. The curved cross member brought the back of the car down in the rear. The trunk floor would then need a hole cut for the cross member.
I prefer to use an A crossmember. However, the 26/27 T spring is only 2" wide and the A crossmember is 2.5" wide. The OYS hot rod spring is shaped the same as a 26/27T spring but is made too 2.5" wide https://www.millworkshotrod.com/col...cts/av8-hot-rod-model-a-rear-spring-1928-1934
