Im going to be installing a 26-27 T rear spring in my model A Tudor. Im wondering what the recommended number of leaves to run is? would like to get the sedan sitting lower but still functional that it won't bottom out. Which leaves are recommended to remove and how many? Thank You. Im running a 40 banjo thats been converted to spring over, stock model A frame.

Any time I modified leaf springs I've removed every other leaf to get the height I wanted starting with the second shortest leaf...
To get the magic formula for your ride you need to do what everyone else doing this does.... get to work, it's all trile and error.

The T springs are progressively sized... you need to remove leaves from the top down or you will get large gaps in the pack. Seems to me the 26-27 roadster had a 6 leaf pack vs the 8 leaf touring/sedan pack. Here is a pic of my ol 27 roadster, notice how the long leaves are staggered in length

  4. I haven't totally put mine together (body and frame) yet, so I'll be watching this thread. I have a T spring set up in my '28 Tudor, but I keep changing on the drivetrain.
