We used 2-1/4" shackles with machined DOM tubing washers to match the narrower width of the T spring.
Stock banjo axle perch width is good with the T spring.

The tubing is to change the ID on the spring?

  4. T spring is 2”wide. Later rear spring is 2-1/4” wide. You either need to trim the length off the perch or add a spacer to make up the difference. I’ve done both.

The spring ID is the same.

The spacers go on the shackle pin bushings to make up the difference in width as others have posted. We made the spacers the same OD and ID as the spring eye to blend in better.

you dont say what axle you have. a model A would have used a metal bushing pressed in, and a v8 would have had a pressed in combo of the pin, surrounded by some sort of rubber compound with a metal sleeve around the whole thing. sometimes, the metal sleeve is all thats left. either way, get the sleeve out and buy what ever you like from the vendors. model A, v8, or most folks today like the urethane bushing type for ease of installment. speedway for those, brattons for A parts, and c&g for v8 stuff

  10. I got mine from CW Moss Ford Parts along with deeper rear spring clip bars to **** the t-spring into the crossmember.
I used the top leaf of the A spring and replaced it on the T spring to keep everything in place inside the crossmember, ****ed it down in there and settled nice, add shocks to limit rigidity. Can't tell really well from this image but it's a tight two fingers between the top of the rear tire and fender lip. green coupe.jpg
