Model T vin location

I have a '27 T roadster that I want to title.
Where would the vin be stamped on the frame?

for some reason I thought they didn't have vin's on them???
I could be wrong....I think I heard that from Texas Hardcore.

Passenger side, on the top of the frame rail, about in the area right under the cowl section, or a little ways back from there. They started numbering the frames sometime in 1926, I heard...

 

yes, numbered on frame just below wooden floorboard on pass side...EVILT

 

OK, next question.
How far back from the front/ cowl body area mount?

It wasn't exact.. They were hand stamped. It would be straight down from the dash on the frame... at least on the ones I have seen.. EVILT
