Folks Of Interest model40 passed away last night

    The HAMB's own "model40", Tom Phelan, passed away last night. Mark "General Gow"'s Dad. Mark just got home to Boston from the HAMB Drags on Monday.

    Mr. Phelan was a hotrodder. I always enjoyed the time I spent with him. He took me up to Billy Belmont's place and to Dave Simard's place. We shared a swap space at the Mansfield Swap one weekend, and it was awesome listening to the stories from way back and meeting lots of New England hotrodders.

    He will be missed.

    At times like these words are never easy, sometimes just the knowing that your loss is shared and your family has the prayers of so many helps to soften the blow.

    Sounds like Mr. Phelan touched a lot of lives in a positive way and ultimately that is what we leave as our legacy.
