Probably going to be your Poly Jay! Still need a lot of stuff to get mine running.:( UHG!

No updates since the last post on this thread. Just working on the Hemi right now. The block is ready for ***embly and I've been taking lots of pictures. Just a busy week. I'll start a new thread just for the Hemi when I get to some juicy stuff.

Still need to get a flywheel, a few parts for the Holleys, build some crazy exhaust, and get some linkage parts as well as a **** load of fittings, hose, ignition wire, etc.... Lots to do to get 'er fired! Things are really lookin' up though!

That is THE PLAN!!! Especially after seeing Piero's YouTube clips that him and Paulie shot! Will you be there with the Vick'. Dave??

I have no idea when this car will be actually road worthy, but I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure I'm driving this to LSR next year! I have good people to see and meet and I've never been to Austin (sad, huh?). What better way to see Texas than through the chopped down windshield of a '31 Ford (or what's left of one)?

I'll send you milk crates if that will help!? You don't need no stinking interior! ;):D:D

Oh yeah! I think my punctuation kind of screwed me up there. I knew you were Mr. Dave Russell. I remembered that because I have a good friend with the last name and for the heck of it asked you if you were related. I'm full of seemingly useless information.

See you at the Roundup D-Russ! :D

Been following this build from the first post. It's been an incredible journey and from the last entries it looks like you've got it coming your way. The complexity is somewhat overwhelming at certain points but that is what takes it out of the "cookie cutter" realm.
Keep the progress reports coming, this is one I'd like to see in person when it's finished.

I made a trip down to berts model in denver last summer and was given a history lesson on the difference between briggs and murray. in 28-29 and 30 briggs had rectangle window openings and in the same years the murray had window openings that arched at the top of the window. then in 31 they all became the same.

Yep! Ya' beat me to it...

Also, the thing about the doors all being the same in 1931 isn't exactly true. A guy I knew from the Las Vegas Valley Model A Club, had a 1931 Fordor Town Sedan that had the rectangular, non-arched styled doors.

  10. Wow, it's really coming together now, great work.

Now, as you're aware, I'm liking your build, but, not conviced with the dash, love the intent, and the way you're going with it, but think it's to big'n'overpowering, and needs to be trimmed right back to reduce the 'visual m***'......just my 2c, keep chipping away, dig the attention to detail.

    Cheers,

Hmmm... yeah, I had been having some thoughts on the dash, but didn't want to undercut it so I figured I would know more once I actually print out some pretty pictures of the gauges and just sort of place them around to see how everything fits. So far it's looking like that dash will be filled to the T... so I guess we'll just have to see how it works out.

Thanks for the comments everyone!!:cool:

I was totally not prepared for that! I love you guys!!!! :D:D

Going to have a decent update for you guys soon...

    * Hemi is almost together (just missing a couple stupid things and need to go through the rockers)
    * now that I have a gas tank, I'm working on brackets. Picked up materials today
    * been working on patch panels and a ton of other seams and part of the sub-floor sheetmetal
    * tiny bit of ch***is stuff
    * and Mark Kawakami (Joyrides Art Company) came in and unexpectedly shot some photos while I was working. I'll post those too.
    * worked on quarter window regulators and garnish moldings as well
    * flywheel is on order from Wilcap (Pat RULES!!!!)
    * steering blister is cleco'd in place
    * did a little work on the grille shell
    * filled the nail holes and slots in the visor panel
    * started the carb linkages as well. Just need the parts for the cross shaft

I'll post something in a couple weeks. Just skipping all around. I'm fighting this thing every step of the way right now. Being very careful to not lose those creative juices!

    (still laughing at the video!)

Wow! Now that I listed all that out, it seems I got more done than I realzi

Thanks man! Like I said... that green roadster you built and that modified you're messing around with was totally influential!
