looks good man. Beats the hell out of nearly any of the other options...and like you said, a ton easier on the back... If i may ask (and i may have missed it, what are your roll diameters? and other then more triangulation and the eventual scrub brake, what would you change in the second revision?

Cant wait to see the car finished up

    Thanks man!

The tubing is 1-1/2" x .120" wall tubing. The outside diameter is 72".

I wouldn't change much for the design itself for the type of stuff I do at the shop (nothing heavier than a 53 Pontiac frame... MAYBE a 53 Pontiac body). Diameter is fine as well. Would maybe make the feet 6x6 instead of 4x4?? It stands up by itself without the spokes in it, but with the spokes and nothing mounted to the spokes it will tip over with the 4x4x1/4 plates on the feet. No problem at all when the "subject piece" is mounted to the hoops. But yeah, just mostly the simple brake that will get added and some triangulation for future projects so the hoops don't move around as easily.

I have to say, I would be super reluctant to roll hoops like this again without a powered tubing roller! TON of work!

Actually the '53 isn't my Sis'. :D I've got a '53 Poncho of my own to build after this is on the road. Then a banger project after that. Somewhere in there I need to get our '35 Coupe finished up as well. Figured with all that on the agenda, that a rotisserie would be worth owning.

The rotisserie is really cool. Until you showed it all assembled, I had imagined that you were just going to roll the hoops around on the floor. In hindsight, that doesn't seem like it would have been very successful.

    Excellent!

Okay! Getting REALLY close to another milestone! The frame, after TONS of sanding and prep work, is finally in PRIMER! I have some block work to do, and a couple touch-up spots including where the front rotisserie mount is, but other than that, it's ready to get color!! WOOHOO!

Here's another SMURFY primer update! :D

    The car is awesome!
Now, gotta ask, is the blue primer specifically needed for the final color or was it just luck of the draw?
