OOOO! You just sealed your fate! :D:D As you can see, I'm going to take that as a challenge. And I LOVE challenges! ;) HAHA!

No official debuts planned. Maybe Saturday breakfast one day?? I just want to drive it. HAHA! I'm aiming for... well... ASAP!

  2. The ASAP must be a new show, I'm familiar with the GNRS and the LARS, but the ASAP, that's a new one. Must be every 10 years. :)

The details are really beautiful, Scoot. I particularly like the edging around the floor holes, the tail, all that stuff. Somewhere between Industrial and Steampunk (in a good way).

That would be worth the cost of a NYC to LA flight, be sure to post the date. :)

Congratulations on the progress, but please don't get all shy with the pictures at this point.

    Thanks everyone...

Tired. Was here at the shop till late last night and I'm here again this morning. Knocked a couple more things off the list, but it seems the list keeps growing. Going to start some filler work today, just to take a break from some metal work. Most of the metal work is done at this point, though... I think.

    Back to it...

OH! And the ASAP show is probably only going to have one car in attendance, so... Not really worth flying in for. HAHA!

I argue that point. It might worth flying in for. You never know you might have some friends with shitty RPUs show up to make yours look that much better.
OK, maybe that is only one. Dan's T is pretty cool

Another long day in the shop yesterday. I'm physically and mentally beat. Bottom of the body is as done as it's gonna' get and is ready for primer and Lizard Skin. Spent a lot of time just finishing retarded little welds that needed to be closed up, cut out and redone, or just taken down and blended in. Spent quite a bit of time on the drip rails as well.

I took some pictures, but... Someone challenged me that I would be weak and post more. And apparently there is a pool going? How are my odds?

Guess I could just post them on my blog...:D

Haha! Dude, I love your RPU and it's fun as hell to ride around in... And to drive!! :D

No I am not yelling at him, just providing a little positive reinforcement.
And by the way, I am offended at your comment. :p:p

:D I'm sorry if your resemble my comment :D My reference was to the old Boyd TV show where Boyd was always ragging on his crew about a deadline.
But maybe you knew that :)

Slipery move. What's the first rule of air to air combat? Cheat.
Yes, we are all enjoying your build. Later, Gary

Scooter, i just found this thread, and am still going through it, just wanted to say, love the work, fabrication etc.
Amazes me the stuff some folks are capable of.

Man i go to my garage, and do this and that, make some brackets, do some wiring, rebuild engine, install new dash , what have you , all stuff i've been working on lately.
I come into the house feeling pretty good about what i've done, and then i see you building an entire car from parts, from the garage floor up, and doing it well.
    Makes me feel pretty incompetent.

    Ah well ain't your problem.

I'm curious, has anyone mentioned that your modified body reminds them of an old Bantam coupe, or is it just me?

It's been a REALLY nice break from this car, although I miss looking at it every day. I'm starting to get separation anxiety! HAHA!

We're closing on our house FRIDAY! I will finally own my own garage to work in! :D

Just hope this new 'ol bird can wait a bit while I work to get the car on the road.

Thanks man! And believe me, if I can do this YOU can do this!

Yeah, it definitely reminds me of a Bantam. Love those too!

  28. Congrats, Scoot!
I just bought a home 2 month ago. I know what you are going through.
It's worth it in the end though, trust me.

  29. Looks AWESOME Scotty! When's the housewarming? :D
