I know, I know! The most I have to show is some sketches I've been workin' on here and there. I'll probably do an updated with those and some of my new ideas I'm kickin' around. I DID however score a Mopar steering box yesterday that will get shoved in the cowl area! Those will be the next mock-ups you guys see. Gonna' make a temporary wood steering wheel for the time being and then think about brake M/C's and pedals that will all have to work around the steering box. You guys just might have to settle for sketches for a little while though until I can be productive again.:)

You were too busy doing nice things for people and actually WORKING on stuff! :D Those are perfectly good excuses!

LOL! Thanks bro! I'll love it a little more when I make some progress. I guess planning is progress though... right?

I need to get a new scanner. My old one is "MIA". Once I get a new one I'll start an update thread. I'll just keep sketchin' and plannin' in the mean time.

No need to get sick over them! LOL!

I bought those from a really cool HAMBer up in Canada and he shipped 'em down here for me. They're '38 Ford rims. The hub caps look great on my wall! :D Just about every part for the car (except for the body) has a relationship to the HAMB in some way...

...that's the thing I love the most about this build. The people I've met and the conversations I have had with people. This place is amazing and I wouldn't be where I am with it if it weren't for this place!

Scooter, please don't put a 32 shell up front. Use a 28 or 29. Too many 32 shells being used on otherwise nice rods.

    IT'S GETTING A 32 SHELL AND YOU'LL LIKE IT!!! :D

Actually, it really is getting one, but it's getting some modifications. It will resemble it a bit, but I'm planning on some changes! :D That's one of the sketches I just worked on...

...you'll just have to wait though. Can't let all the tricks out of the bag soon! :D

Seriously though! I'll be happy if the car ever gets finished. I may lose my mind before then though...

I know what ya mean scooter, many of the parts and learning I've got into Half-Breed is from the people I've met through here...the way I figure it, the car was built by me with the help of 37,000 friends...I'd love to park my car next to yours someday...

Glad you are gonna stick to that. The reason IMHO everyone used 32 grilles is because the 28-29 looks stodgy.

"Everyone else did it" is not a good enough reason not to do something (hell, it's a Murray cut down to a two door - how different can you get?).

Keep the posts coming, it's great to watch it rise from the grave (and you are doing a damn fine job too).

    Ditto that!! :D:D:D

Thanks man! I'll be the first to admit, I'm learning stuff as I go, but I think I'll make it! LOL!

I had a BEAUTIFUL late 31 Model A shell, but from the day I decided to go fourth with taring into this car, the 32 grille shell was on the parts to buy list. I do think that I'm going to make some changes to mine so it will reflect the car's "personality" a little better. I've cut up and modified everything else so far, I might as well personalize the grille shell and insert too, right?
