A Friend of mine found this Tin Lizzie under a car port . I bought it off him . Two of the wooden spoked wheels were rotted . I found some mini bike wheels and tires on Amazon. The fiberglass fenders were broken up . A friend of mine works in a machine shop and made the rear hubs . Then he drilled the bolt pattern in the hubs and rear wheels. I felt that it sat too high so I built another frame to set it lower .
The front radius arms are parking brake levers from early 60’s C60 Chevy truck . The brake lever is a parking brake lever out of an early 70’s F 600 Ford truck. The brake is off a Harley golf cart . The cow skull is from Hobby Lobby . I was able to get the original Briggs engine running but never could get it to run properly. So I got an engine from HF . The rack and pinion came off eBay .
The heat off the muffler made the seat back hot . So I’m building a exhaust pipe away from the seat back
That turned out great! When I was a kid in the mid 60's I had one of those. We had a big field behind our house that ran about 1/2 mile and I'd drive it out there with all the neighborhood kids, some of them had mini bikes. When dad thought I had a handle on driving it, throttle was on the steering column, brake and belt engager on the side by the running board, he started playing with different pulleys for more speed. I vividly remember the sensation of it going faster, maybe it went 12-15 mph, and I rolled it making the first turn. Ripped the glass fenders apart along with the windshield frame. Dad fixed it all back up, he used one of the legs off a tv tray for the faux windshield frame, and I'll be damned if I didn't roll it again this time with the girl who lived next door sitting next to me. Don't even remember what happened to it as we were into dirt bikes right after that. Dad also found one when our kids were small and I wish I'd kept it now that we have grandkids.
Just throwing this out there incase you haven't seen one. They were used by shriners in parades too. Mine also had the headlights until it didn't.
