Folks Of Interest modifieddriver has passed on

It is with a heavy heart that I must report that @modifieddriver Frank Hager, passed on last night to the great racetrack where he can race modifieds , wrench on race cars and hot rods whenever he wants, and attend as many swap meets as he can, wisecracking with everyone but also sharing his vast knowledge of early Fords and most other vehicles. Frankie four fingers will continue to"screw the other guy and pass the savings on to you" where ever he is. RIP Frank, and thanks for taking over the "HAMB Village" at the Charlotte Auto Fair and sharing it with us.

Oh man, this hurts, I have know Frank long before the hamb was around, I have bought and sold parts over the years and enjoyed his humor and hospitality, Frank was a true racer & a hot rodder, you will be missed my friend!

I bought some parts from Frank few years ago. At the time he had just brought home a fresh haul of 39/40 Sedans and a bunch of 34 Ford stock parts.

He could tell stories for hours about the good ol days

He was very gracious and we spent the better part of the day touring his garage and talking about all his projects.

Fantastic guy!!!! RIP my friend.

Oh man. Bummer.

 

Robert = thank you for all the pictures of Frank and his racecars. He was a racer's racer and could tell you stories endlessly. Once he moved to what he called Moonville USA (S Carolina) for his tire development and testing work, he made a whole new passel of friends, and attracted old NE racers like Pete Silva and John Birosh during our large Charlotte swap meet twice a year.
