    Roy -

That is cool. Is that the car that Chrisman's have now?

Have you started on the replica? I would love to see pics under construction. That is a project that I have had in my mind lately.

Yea it became "The Chrisman Car" I have been gathering parts for mine, the 1923 Franklin front axle and steering were harder than hell to find, I still need a right front spindle if ya can help me find one. Who is the metal man that you know?? I come from an old Midget, Sprint Car, Champ Dirt Car backround.

has anyone on here got a pic of the Bo Jones car? i always thought that he was the one responsible for "bringing back" the modified style.

There are shots of the Bo Jones modified built in the late 60's on Daniel Strohl's site linked earlier in this thread. Look on page 3 of the gallery. I agree Jones started this trend. He built a second example much later.

hope you all dont mind me snatching these photos for whenever I get the modifieds section of the site up and running again. it's been static while I figure out a way to create a more dynamic, easy-to-use interface and while I redesign the entire site. I'll attribute the photos, naturally.
direct link to the modifieds section, btw, is http://danielstrohl.com/modifieds.asp

Yes exactly... Anyone repopping these or do i have to hit the scrap...er...swap meet?

(Normally I would just get an old one without hesitation, but a gas tank is one of those things that needs to be solid for peace of mind. Not that much of the repop stuff out there is anything to write home about.)

Really dig Alex's green T, especially the Brooklands windscreen but I can't figure out why he looks so cramped up in there. There's quite a bit more room in a 27 than in the typical 23-25 bucket. In any case it is outstandingly cool.

Dixie Dog. Is the body on your rig one of those Fatbucket setups or did you whip that up yourself? Looks nice & roomy.

  19. HRP, thats crazy...

Darwin - I got that bucket off Draglinks (made him itch), it's made by Dave Koorey (sp) outside of Tampa. Thats why I went with it was for the room, I fit in it like a sausage but I am not sitting on top of it.
I was going to run that Buick 350 but it was quite a bit wider than the SBC setup I got sitting in the corner.

Also you might want to do a search. This topic has come up before and always gets a lot of good response.
