2 tooth Model A box, i had to cut and reweld the steering arm to get the proper angle. It is also converted to full roller bearings. I drive the car with one hand, it steers like a dream.

Some mocking up of the L-11, from a month or so ago. If only I could find a smaller radiator...

Mr. Kirk! - check the Oliver grills a few pages back. I think I a going to skip the channel, it kind of bugs me. Sure, it's low but sort of rat-tacular. Maybe some belly panels down to the frame rails...

track style has always been a fav of mine. Must be that california/okie dirt track gene bred into me. I need to a scanner so I can share some old pics of my dads. Early indy cars and dirt cars are special. The John Zink specials, and every car Jackie Howerton drove/built are some of my favorites. I never realized my favorite driver as a kid was also a top flite fabricator until I ran into him at the 50th Oakland roadster show. The freaky part was that he remembered me always bugging him in the pits, and fetching beers for everyone when they were playing pool at my dads house after the races.

The floor(bellypan) runs under the TH350 transmission, so that the transmission is in the cockpit...........I call it my turbo 350 heater! :)

I like the sound of that. Keep it simple. No need for a heater, It would come in handy around here. NC can get a mite chilly in the winter.

Not sure if this qualifies because it was built in the 20's. This thing/tractor/hay bail mover, etc.. was built for factory work, as I was told, or farm use. The gentleman who owns it is in his 90's and has quite a collection of cars, but this thing really stood out. Maybe some of you guys know more history on this thing.

Around here those things are known as doodlebugs. Farmers and others used them for utility/yard hack purposes. Nowadays you usually see them either cruising around in formation at parades or sitting on flat tires, slowly rusting away in backyards.

I still can't believe this thing went into pieces and is spread out. The plate he made to clamp the spring to the perch is all he has left of the car. I loved that car, I think Skip or someone might have some pics when he took it out to the drags as a roller, I think it was hotrod reunion. If I remember right we spent some late nights right before march meets gettin it ready at Kennys shop, Woody and some of the other Denver boys were there. I bought the avons that were on the front for 20 bucks. I miss that car. I talked to him the other night he's building panhead, I forget what year.
