How many one-man modifieds are out there and running on the street.? I,m right in the middle of a build and folks wonder why? No room for a friend ! Are one-mans extinct?
I have been thinking about building one for a while now. It would work out real good since I don't have any friends. Got any pictures of yours?
There's a cool thread on tractor bodied roadsters on here somewhere. Do a search, it might give you lots of good ideas.
Fighterplane righton? I guess that's a compliment, thanks. Yeah got a few friends, but I also have other rods that more "social". Here's a pic of one of my favorite Modifieds, it's the oval track racer of Wally Shrock. Circa late 1930's.
i had a pic of that i was going to post but couldn't find it theres a cut-away of it in an old hot rod i think? i believe its found and restored??? i love that car...pretty much exactly what i want to build but with a more racey nose on mine thanks for the pic Zach
I've had the pleasure of shoehornin' myself in this small track roadster,,,,with fellow Hamber Alex,,,, The roadster is small,,,,and he ain't! HRP
I'd say....to few ! The world needs more of thoose ! Any pics of your single seat project !? / primerkid
Any real details on the transmission setup in that car? This is the one running a backward trans. as an overdrive, yes? Anything you could find out would be appreciated.
Ron, here is a pic of your modified that I got off the web somewhere. It sure is KQQL, like all of your builds! When was this pic taken....have you done anything to it since the pic was taken? How about some details. Your Bonneville buddy, Dennis
This is a real NASCAR MODIFIED from the early 70's. Think it ran in VA and NC. It has some updates, but it would've looked pretty much like this back then. Here's a few more pics. Primer on the roof is from where I rolled it over and straightened it out. AND...............it is a single seater .
Rich, love ya little beast. Here's some well known little charriots, that, if they don't get ya all hot'n'husky then your on the wrong board.... Danny Sakai, Karl Orr, Hilborn, CJaclehmann yada, yada, yada.... Cheers, Drewfus P.S. Am collecting parts, just a matter of time..

Friend of mine has been planning to build an overdrive using an A box. Still closed drive, that's cool. Anymore details? I take it he locks out the first and reverse gate, or it'd get confusing...!?
dennis , I,m putting in floors and making them part of the body sheet metal The clutch is on the left side of s-10 ****** and the clutch arm is on the motor side of the firewall Tight fit Pics are on the way How, the duece? later.
No its not. That's the Art Gerrick modified circa early 50's. It recently went to auction in its unrestored condition with a reserve of $80,000, it didn't sell....
hey thanks for the pictures!!!! ive been hunting for that color one for a couple days now i cant believe it wouldnt bring 80,000 with a direct history like that i guess cause you cant run it on the street only a museum (and I) would want it Zach
May '51 Hot Rod for the full article. Its too ******** for the guys spending that sort of money on a car with history. They want a '32 roadster with a flathead not a bitsa with a 'T' engine and mis-matched wheels!
Beats me!! If I had the kind of money these collectors (rich hop up dudes) have, I would hesitate for 1/8 of a mili-second befor taking home this heap for 80K. A 1951 Hot Rod feature, they bothered to have a Rex Burnette drawing made of. .....should be a keeper in my eyes. I even like the piece of ****. Imagine having a large 1:1 scan of the Burnetet drawing made. Glue it to the garagefloor and apply transparent enamel over it, for a prefered parking space when not in use. Hey I would not even restore it. Just keep it roadworthy and DRIVE. Think of the ple***ure one could have just sitting in the ****pit daydreaming of lakesracing during wintertime. Lakesfever is a serious matter. Paul
