I've read the post here for years, very very informative. never had a chance to jump in here. Ive seen a couple of threads here on modifying the upright on a 49-52 chevy. Has anyone tried this, I saw this on you tube and thought it was the bees knees. depending on the responce here I might try this out. Does anyone know how to do this? any pics laying around. I am also pie cutting the floor board tunnel of my 51 to allow the clearance for the stock drive shaft after I do my notch next week. Does anyone know how far forward I have to go up. I 'm thinking right to the back of the front seat, since it seems to already have a lift to it there. Thanks in advance

Actually that is how Cole Foster does it although your welds look a little suspect. There is an intro section up top you may want to post your intro in.
I pie cut my floor last winter in my 68. I started the cut right at the U joint coming out of the transmission. I wanted to make sure that the entire drive shaft had clearance. I didnt have to modify the front seat much since the front section didnt raise up that far. Good luck!
Thanks for the responce, Those threads look great, Like I said, depending on the feedback, I might want to try this. Getting the Cole Foster does it, kinda makes me worry less about trying it out. That was a online photo i found, Those welds do seem sketchy. Thanks again.
Is that picture yours? So many things look wrong with that. first off the bag touching metal, the angles look scary as well.
