The picture in my avatar is of my truck at the first AHRA Hot Rod Reunion at Mokan 15 years ago. I have made passes at this event every year since then. I guess I am the only one going this year.

My wife and I were there today. Great turnout of racers and spectators, and almost perfect weather.

 

I helped Hooley with the "Okie Twister" Henry J. He had some great passes in the 8.80's and won the gasser class. A good day.

I saw one of his early passes, big wheelie off the line, then the wheels are back in the air again, then at about 1/2 track it looked like he was gonna wreck, I'd swear he was almost sideways, but somehow he recovered. Great job keeping it upright! We had to leave before it was all over, glad to hear he won, it's a fun car to watch.
