O.K. all, just finished mixing up an engine dip of moll***as. Mixed 7 parts water to 1 part moll***as in a 35 gallon plastic drum, and submerged my 348 chevy engine in it. according to web articles I"ve read, should see improvements in 2 weeks. engine had sat outside for ten years, open, and the cam won't even move. Will update on progress. (bty, used feed grade moll***as from a livestock store. 5 gallons- $22.00)
Serious rust removal! Here is a good thread. There are many other threads here covering this topic as well as other methods.
I have seen some good youtube videos on this. Guy from "downunder" does this to body panels, works really good from what I see. Good luck!
