A friend is rebuilding a 6 for his '50 chevy Pup, we are looking for moly rings and have only found chrome or cast available. Anyone know of a source?

    Thanks!

Probably not available for stock type pistons with the old style thick rings, but if you order slugs from any of the custom piston companies like Ross, Arias, etc., moly rings are an option.

    Don't think anyone makes a 3/32 3 9/16" moly compression.

Check with Hastings. They make their own rings.

I'm not sure about material, but I got a Total Seal ring set in my 235 and it has always had absolutly zero blow by. No fog or oil out the road draft tube or breather.
Not traditional to not be engulfed in a cloud of blowby at a traffic light, but what the hell.

Have you checked Egge Machine Co in Santa Fe Springs, CA?
