Anyone ever seen this thing? I got it in a forwarded email with no info attached - a cursory google search was fruitless. Wondering who the mad-man is - and where can I get one!!
That guy was on the Monster Garage episode where they went around the country looking at weird stuff people built! That dude also built a GIANT one of those with a 455 V8 powering it!!! He wiped out and almost killed himself with it, so he added some refinements to make it more stable! Don't know his name, though...
Hey, the V8 one was on Ripleys Believe it or not a while back. The guys had the small one in the pic and some other creations he made at the WNNS Valco Cruise In Springfield IL the last 2 years. I think he is like German or somethin.
There was an article in CYCLE or MOTORCYCLIST Magazine within the last 2 years about this guy. He let the writer ride the thing, which he said was pretty easy to get the hang of, but you keep hitting your head on the inner frame, as you speed up and slow down and you are always leaning out a bit one way or the other to see forward (around the frame/tire), so the riding position gets kind of tiring.
The guys name is Kerry Mclean.His shop is Panda Precision in Michigan.He builds them for sale. He was onS****heap Challenge. Try doing a search for "monowheels".
I've seen this thing before. I also saw a clip on TV of this guy EATING **** and flying out of it. He was pretty busted up. Broke a **** load of bones if I remember right. Funniest damn thing I've ever seen!
