Two kits for similar cars are currently available, the MPC Jawbreaker and the Revell / Monogram Slingster. I think they are both repops, but I'm not 100 percent sure. I'm waiting for the often rumored Lindberg 1/8 version, should it ever appear, that would be based on their 2n1 dragster kit in that scale. Gary
That old Monogram kit was the #1 tool for drag race car scratch builders. It had the finest model hemi engine ever produced. Let's hope the Chinese got it right. Thanx for the heads-up that the kit is being reproduced.
That's a recent 1/25th scale re-imagining of the old Sizzler from the early 60's. It has been out for a year or two and is a killer kit. Got one or two as model shelf ballast right now. Highly recommended.
I picked up that kit a while back, figured its enough parts to make 2 by the time I break down some sprue collection and make a second frame
Bummer. I contacted a friend @ Revell and the Slingster kit is not made from the same tooling as the old Monogram Sizzler kit. The Sizzler was 1/20th scale and great for scratch building using 00-90 brass nuts and bolts. The new kit is patterned after the Sizzler but is the much smaller 1/25th scale.
