Yup, I can't believe it. Sounds like the TV announcer didn't even know what it was.

The speed channel connection I got sucks, but they said JJ did the car and mentioned Hines and Norm, so I guess that's the car. What a shame.

Man hopefully it went to someone who will enjoy it and bring it out more often to let the public enjoy it too.

I figured 65k at least. That thing is probably the only good thing to come out of that show. And on top of that, it's like the coolest '54 to ever grace the earth....well definitely top 5 at least.

just another reason to hate ( PC dis-Like ) Barrett Jackson, the showed the car for a total of 30 sec, never mentioned the builders or anything of importantance then pushed if off the block, that was a waste of 3 hours of my life

How many young guys got into 50's customs because of that car? A lot, I'd bet, it's a big part of why 53-54 Chevys are so popular, not to mention it's connected to a whole bunch of customizing legends.

Years from now, that car will be considered one of the most important customs ever built, since so many people got into the hobby because of it. $40K? That's unbelievably cheap. I'm blown away.
