Does anyone know the whereabouts of the 1955 chevy called Monster Mash. It ran I/S back in the 60's. It was built and prepared by Jenkins Competition. Thanks JT

  2. Driver was Bill (Spyder) Spanokos. He is still around the Coatesville , Pa area. Last I saw him was at Maple Grove drag strip, don't know if he still has the car, but I beleive so.

A friend of mine drove himself to near insanity trying to duplicate the performance of Monster Mash. I tried to tell him to change classes and get into one that Jenkins was not competing in (which he finally did) but this was an early example of why "The man from Malvern" was the one to beat in Stock and super/stock back then.

Monster Mash was a two door 210 model, Monster Mash 2 was a 150 utility sedan.

Spyders current ride. I don't think he had it out this year. I understand health and costs are catching up to him.

The final Monster Mash was sold in 1966 or 1967 to Dink Lawrence from Reading, Pa and was capaigned as 'Tnker's Toy.

Yes Frank, you are right about "The Man from Malvern, Pa. I owned the stable mate to the Mash, The Hostage and the basic secret to our motors were the 'Blueprinted' camshfts. Rules stated that they had to meet G.M specs and they did but more accurate than assembly line sticks. And they couldn't be purchased......
