Cool, it looks just like Canada.... Only less snow..... And more vintage tin......
I gonna wander off and find my garage now.... We're starting a new tunnel :D

Montana is like Cuba in a way. Lots of neat old cars, but the people are still driving them daily.

yeah it's a bit of a detour, but I'll be in my RV on a roadtrip anyway. I am gonna hit up both of those yards as well.

Hey, isn't that the yard that was featured in Rodder's Digest...pre-Buckaroo? Some of those cars sure look like the one in that article.
I'd agree that the body behind the sedan delivery is a deuce.

I think a get together somewhere sounds like a great idea. I'm surprised to find 2 other guys from Kalispell here and really curious to know who Thrasher and unklgriz are. We probably pass each other all the time.

If you see a 48 F1 with oak siderails tooling around town, wave me down. License plate reads OLDRNME. The truck is dark amethyst pearl - dark blue or purple depending on available sunlight. Modern wheels.

  7. What about a group get together during the West Yellowstone rod run? We could probably throw together a pretty scarry pack to fend off the gold chainers.

Rose is in Helena. I believe. A small salvage lot, but QUALITY cars...

BTW We're having a "Montana" swap meet next weekend. I'll take pictures and post em here.

Shows up well on Google Earth. Put in Somers Mt. Scroll up from the red dot of Somers. Next to Lincoln Ln. Big yard but very neatly laid out. Looks like the one.
I wonder who gave the name Flathead Lake to all that water?

It's Flathead Lake, Flathead Valley, Flathead County, etc. all in honor of the Flathead Indian tribe and reservation south of the lake at Pablo.

Strange that it has nothing to do with flathead engines, huh!?

Damn, I have not been to west since the 30th run, was not sure it was still going on. That has to be one of the longest going get togethers around by now. I think the first one I went to was like 72.
We could also meet at the Spokane auto boat and speed show in March and hook up with the western Washington crowd

sounds like a deal to me[/quote]

Let me know if you guys decide on something....I'm over by Great Falls and would love to get together with other HAMBers in MT.

  16. Lets start thinking about west yellowstone. I'd really look forward to a good dose of Montana HAMBers making the "California Duster" crowd tolerable.

Do you have a date or time frame for W. Yellowstone? It's probably been 16 years since I was down there.

You guys could always come up for the Glacier Rod Run in late July - lots of "gold" there too. Week before (mid-July)is the swap meet and car show at the fairgrounds in Kalispell.
