A bill of sale can be downloaded for free of the MTDOT website, I dont know why the seller wouldn't give you one??? I would get one just to cover yourself...

You should check with your home state DMV to see if they need/want a bill of sale to accompany an out of state****le transfer. Of course, many states now require an on site VIN inspection for out of state transfers and it better match the****le. Another option on pre-54 (?) cars is that you could claim the vehicle is from a no-title state like Georgia. Any friends or relatives in GA that will sign a bill of sale?

I'm quite sure others will have suggestions.

Do you really want to loose your ride over a trumped up****le. DMV inspectors have seen all the ways of trying to beat the system. Don't waste your money on buying something that may or may not fly. Check the system in SC. They probably have a way of issuing a****le legally. You can bet SC knows what states are****le free and who is selling****les from other states. Ours does.
Check the problems from this HAMBer from Georgia
