Here's a B&W photo of Bob Hartwell's #88 "JACKS MONTE VISTA GARAGE" Austin Seven A/HR (Hot Roadster) at the Fremont Drag Strip ... with Paul Stanley in the ****pit:

Although I found this image posted here on the H.A.M.B. by David @296ardun Sorenson, it's obviously the same image that Coby @Church Gewertz included in CHURCH ISSUE 05 ... with the caption:

    Big bad Olds on fuel.

David captioned this version of the photo:

In 1965, Gary Essman took over the driving duties for Hartwell.

Gary's daughter, @Michelle Essman Carls posted these photos of the Austin Roadster in her Gary Essman H.A.M.B. thread:

Not a Bantam. It's an Austin 7. Very rare here in the US compared to Bantams.

I looked at the picture and wondered what that body was. Read the caption and realized I have one in my driveway! Only mine is a sedan.

I'm almost positive Ed Taylor used an Austin Seven Opal Tourer body to build his Austin 7 "Roadster":

... but I guess it's possible he fabricated it using an Austin Seven Two Door Saloon ("Sedan") body:

I would bet on the roadster body.

The Hot Roadster looks a lot better than the stock one.
