Recently I installed a moon eyes oil pressure gauge on the back of my flathead motor. I was considering installing an water temperature gauge too! After leaving SoCal the yesterday, I discovered that moon eyes makes two different style faces: A black face w yellow eyes gauge and an engine turned face gauge. My question is... Which gauge face is considered the older/traditional of the two? The SoCal representative says the engine turned is more traditional...? HELP! I would think the black face is more vintage looking... I moved this thread to the main board. the question and suggestions forum is for questions about how the board works
I have used the engine turned face before and it is hard to read in certain light (or lack thereof). I used the black faced on my flathead, water and oil.
