I want to source a Moon Fire Extinguisher with Bracket and they are seemingly unavailable. Does anyone know of a nice traditional looking alternative for an extinguisher?

You'll want to paint the plastic handles silver so they look like metal. You'd be better off finding one that comes with metal nozzle, handles and bracket to be era correct. While Dean loved his "Moon Yellow" (his house was even painted yellow and inside it was a lighter yellow). Depending on if it for a street or show build he also offered plenty of parts in chrome. https://fireextinguisherdepot.com/a...uisher-2-5-lb-rechargeable-ul-rating-1a-10b-c
There was a time (60-70s) when Purple K was the go to stuff for race cars. https://fireextinguisherdepot.com/amerex-b410t-2-5-lb-purple-k-fire-extinguisher-10-b-c

Buy a Halon extinguisher while you are at it. They make a lot less mess when and if they are deployed.

That is true. But they are pretty useless unless they are deployed in a closed area. Any little breeze will blow the Halon away. It is also heavier than air so it will be going down the sides to the engine to the ground.

I have used both on vehicles on fire in parking lots, the Halon worked without issue. I have 4 of them in my cars currently. The only bitch is the expense of the extinguishers. FYI, next time I use one on someone's car they are agreeing ahead of time to reimburse me for the refill.
