  1. I loved the show. it was a killer time, and great to spend w/ all my HAMB buddies.

If you missed it, you missed out.

Whats up guys. I was one of those guys who lives just a stone throw away and woke up at noon (hung over), with no car this year to take! I had to take the corolla haha. I liked this place, but it COULD have been organized better. A few more porta potties would have been awesome, the beer garden idea was pretty gay. I waited about 15 minutes and got pissed off and went to go drink at the car. Also a separate entrance line maybe for rods and kustoms would have been cool. A lot of people said they overheated. Irwindale is ok, I wish they would have the show at a place with some grass or something like the blessing of the cars or near the beach like primer nats. I said the same thing when they had it at the sheffif academy too. all that pavement just makes it hotter and there's no real places to sit or for kids to play etc. Or even at fairplex, some place with an actual 1/4 mile track would be cool too, but over all it was a cool show. I left about 4. It was the biggest turnout i have ever seen, Ive gone every year for like the last 10 years.
Loco Louie and Mark thanks for the beers. See everyone next show!

  7. Ya gotta be fucking kidding! The weather couldn't have been any nicer, and i don't ever remember a HOT December Mooneyes show

I was pretty cold all day, the heat was certainly no issue.

all the bitching about getting in...shit, we got there at 7 in the morning and were in the parking lot, motors off and beer opened in 15 minutes.
just have to get up early and get your ass in gear.
a great show and i hope they keep it at irwindale from now on and keep the drag strip open, too!
that was a blast to watch and then go look at the cool cruisers.
    hurry next year!

    later dudes

We met at 5:15,left at 6,got there by6:45,and drove in within 15 minutes. Not one complaint. Had the best time. Hung my dads banner up for any HAMBer to sign. Watched the drags.Hung out with the Pin-up girls for awhile. What's not to like? I'll go again, for sure!

I agree that a park like setting (Paso, Primer Nats, other) is nicer... but live drag racing just a few feet from cars, bands, food, beer, and girls.... I almost want to skip all 2007 and just go straight to next December!

  14. AMEN! I'll trade grass for Drags any day. A couple years ago i ask my buddy Billy if he wanted to go to the drags. His reply-why in the fuck would i wanna watch 2 men dressed as women running down the street?

Did anyone get any more pics of the little blue with white scallops sports job to the far left in this picture?,....looks like a Kellison

    Attached Files:

  16. That's Augie's Rat powered Kellison. He also owns the mechanically injected, silver, AWB 66 Nova (that went to Japan for their Xmas party!). Anyway, there's a bunch of good pics of it on another Mooneyes thread here on the HAMB. Let me know if you can't find it.

  17. The gassers are Back!! Gotta love the look.

    Thanx,

  18. I agree. There were alot of them there, but not many of them racing. Maybe they just like the "Look".

  19. Which show did you attend? My buddies were "killin" eachother out there w/their Gasser stuff. Big rivalry w/a couple of 'em. Bruce busted a crank(?) in the tan primered 55 (Hot Rod magazine cover car w/my Vette 4 months ago)
