Anyone have more pics of this black '27? I use to own it and was wondering what was all of the changes.
Thought there would be some swap action-brought a wad of cash, lookin' for a Mooneyes tank and maybe an axle and some other stuff-nuthin' to swap, nuthin' to buy, no hardparts for sale except the flatty vendors. Got some sool shirts tho'... Where & when is there a good swap without having to wade through mullet parts and Camaro trim peices? SIGH.......
HOLY FLINKIN' FLYIN' POSTS BATMAN!!!! I just noticed I'm not a newbie or FNG no more...ain't Momma gonna be proud....
that thing with the big meats was outlandish. W T F ??? i was surprised at some of the stuff they let in there too, but money is money i guess. hope they use a different venue next time, place is getting to small. excellent event as always though, and no hassling by the law for boozin.
no shit manny,we got hit up a few times for beer.i think those little wanna-be sherriffs were narcin people out.still a cool show, i loved seeing people jump out of thier skin everytime we fired off the dragster. -jimmy-
thanks for the photos Sean, i took my camera but forgot my battery...dumbass me. i think Happy Hoppy counted over 30 '53-54 Chevys at the show.
Good show this year, lots of cool cars. Here's more of that little gow job. It belongs to Dave somethingorother. Used to play for Blazing Haley. Same guy with the Hemi-ed Ranch Wagon. These are from Paso 05 Note the bump on the rail near the front of the engine.. It's an idler arm made from a Model A steering box.. Here's why; the axle is split and pivots from the center. The steering is a more moderner pittman/idler setup with the tie rods pivoting directly behind the axle pivots. He claims no bumpsteer... Yup, two shift levers. The rear trans is a Model A unit turned backwards. Leave it in 3rd for 1:1, 2nd becomes overdrive and 1st is for Bonneville(?). Told me he made 75mph driving up the coast with that little 'banger. I have a date with Groucho's Vette.
I see a laid out 61-63 t-bird hiding back there, any pics of it? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=143884
Hey, I finally made Jim!!! Thanks everyone for the pics! I broke two spokes going up.... one going back I have a REAL HEMI not like some cars....Mooneyes was like Viva without all the Cowpoke Folks there. I thought it was great!!!! I have been watching it for years I am glad I was part of it this time. Now I got to get my ASS sewn back together from hitting ALL the bumps on the 5 freeway...
Damn it looks like I missed a good one . . . at least the beer flows in Germany, umm very freely. I'll have to make sure to be in America next year. More pics to torture me on what I missed though . . . RRR

Jimmy,,thanks for bringing the Jr Fueler.I was the nutcase that reached down & felt the head temp.If it was at night, there would of been some bitchen Alcohol headerflames. Ive got some pictures from my digital that I'll post soon,of all kinds of shit from the show. Thanks Troy
Unbelievable weather for the show, real mellow, cool vibe. I left about noon, but was wondering if anyone made it to the Fomoco Mofo's afterparty?? My club had one in Simi for us and the Poorboys who came down for it. What a great, long day!
Hemi weighs 740 pounds plus the DOWNFORCE from your exhaust stacks. Think there's a MESSAGE in them broken spokes? The Munster Coach, Dragula and NOW the Wererod! I'm gonna have to get me an old rusty model A and wrap it up in cloth bandages before somebody beats me to having the Mummyrod. Then we can get them all together and make a movie where we Meet the Three Stooges.
ShortBus, thanx for the pics! Its a bitchin' little ride..... although I wouldn't let a plastic fuel tank ride shotgun w/ me!
trust me troy, it was our pleasure!!!someone had to liven up that side of the parking lot.we kind of had our own crackle fest.i know what you mean about feeling the head, i walked right in to the exhaust, eyes watered up in 2 seconds.man that was great!!!! -jimmy-
SORRY... someone has already beat you to it 30 years ago....and it wasn't Barris. I will have to consult my 3 Monkies on my next car....Hear No Evil See No Evil... Speek No Evil.
