Core? $700-1000 The last 727 cores I bought were $100 each... But that was 7 or 8 years ago. I used a lot of them.
Also depends on its a motor home motor. As the trans will need some parts to make it usable in a standard vehicle. Also note they have really low compression, 7.5 to 7.8 max. Mopar put the pistons real low in the bore, average around .140 down so any compression changes means changing pistons. Rv 440 and trans go for around 500 here. .
I paid $500 for a 1978 RV 440 and 727 transmission with a little over 30,000 miles. Had to remove it myself. Probably could have paid more. I see them for $1,000. Don't know if they're actually selling for that amount. Depends on the year, accessories, condition, etc. as usual.
I paid $800 for a known running and driving 440/727 about 2 years ago. It's got some miles on it, but nothing wrong with them.
