My son (just turned sixteen)is running a early (1973) 727 transmission behind a 360 in his dart and well it doesn't shift into third till around seventy even when your easy on the gas. He just rebuild it with a shift kit (transgo). I'm thinking about going back into it and adjusting the pressure and reset the TV adust screw. Can any transmission guru's throw a few idea's my way?
Do you have the throttle pressure linkage hooked up and adjusted properly?This must be done for the trans to fuction properly unless you are running a full manual valve body. Shoe
i second terror's "throttle pressure linkage"... would bet that's what it is. Same deal on every 727 i've worked with in my cars, at one time or another. make sure it's adjusted RIGHT, or trans life is all but*****... -dan
