Can anyone clue me in on what kind of valve spring compressor will work best for a Mopar flathead 6? I want to purchase one, but want to be sure to get one that will work on this engine. Thanks!

The K-D or Lisle brand is still available in most parts places - usually in a shrink package on a pegboard display. Mine have lasted 40+ yrs.

There is a generic compressor that works on all flatheads. It looks sort of like a pair of scissors that works in reverse. When you squeeze it, it pushes the spring down. It fits between the block and the spring.

Here is what one looks like. There are other styles but this is genuine old fashioned style.

If you do a Google search for flathead valve spring compressors you will see different types including some home made ones. They all work.
