Hello folks. Good friend told me about this eclectic site so I want to introduce myself. I have a 63 Dart convertible with a slant six engine I bought a few months ago. I plan on keeping it pretty stock, no major mods but I just purchased a super 6 setup for the car and am planning on installing in here in the Seattle area when it gets a little warmer to work in the garage. I am also a ham radio operator NØGCK. I look forward to reading your exploits and sharing mine. John
Just a heads up, the crowd here isn't big on Darts.....or slants.... Probaby get a better responce and more helpful info over on www.slantsix.org and www.forabodiesonly.com There is actually a pretty big slant six fan base in the Pacific NW and the designer of the slant six lives a few miles east of Issaquah. I was lucky enough to be invited to have lunch with him and a few other local slant six gurus last year. Good luck with your Dart. My wifes year round daily driver is a 66 4 door slanted Dart and my year round daily is a 69 D100 shortbed with a built slant, overdrive 4 speed and flaked roof.
It's not really a "group" there is just a bunch of slant guys in the area. Check out www.slantsix.org you will see what I mean.
