As the name denotes there is hemi orange in my veins, have owned '70 Roadrunner, '71 Swinger , '69 D100 pickup. Now my car of choice is a '29 dodge 4dr which will be made into a phantom woody. My Dad back in the day owned a few Victory 6 Dodges so I guess it was in my blood. The pent star has an odd number of sides to match some of the odd balls driving them , me included. Rob.
I added another one to my collection since this thread started. It is a NOS fiberglass body for my 1958 Desoto Firemite. I am 6'6" and 350lbs with my legs fully extended they reach the grille to give you an idea of size. the fibergalss bodies were made to replace the original vacuum formed plastic bodies that were breaking up and falling apart. I have an original frame with the original 6B Briggs and stratton motor and a busted up plastic body so I can put the two together and get a complete unit that looks like this. I also have all of the little parts that I can reproduce like hubcaps, lenses and ornamentation.
Well SORTA... Plymouth with a hemi - check Amc with a hemi - check Ford with a hemi - check FED with a hemi - check Hmmn - I guess I AM a mopar fan, however I've never really considered myself nor have the "real" mopar guys considered me a Mopar guy. Most all Mopar Guys I know talk B, RB or 426 wedge or Hemi - I "talk" 392 Hemi - worlds apart as far as they are concerned. And they're right - they talk matching numbers - I talk welding and cutting. To each their own. Fitting in was never my goal. I consider myself a Car guy.
67 Barracuda coupe (my first car, still got it) 67 Belvedere 2 door post 56 dodge pickup 27 model T coupe w/ 68 Hipo 383/727 8 3/4 rear (under construction) 63 valiant 2 door post (my girlfriends car) I am pretty sure I am a "Mopar Misfit"!
Okay, I've always called myself a Mopar guy by default. I've driven my 360 powered '48 Plymouth coupe as main transport for 15 years now..... But I do like them all (and own some of everything!)
