Im here, 1940 Plymouth, sedan. yeah I am running a SBC. Mustang II and Chevelle rear. I like having an unusual car.
hi,Im steve and Im an alco..no wait thats the other meeting. lets see 48 plymouth flathead six two carters and split exhaust...71 dodge pu big block 4sp...53 desoto a work in progress..
A guy livin' up the street from me has got a '58 Desoto 2dr hardtop. I stopped in about a year ago and asked about it but he wasn't interested in selling. Really cool car in descent shape. Josh
the name says it all but for the slow ones 52 plymouth busnes coupe 230 dual carb split exzhaust and flame throwers
Why am I late to every party? 1937 Plymouth Business coupe - 331 Hemi motor. And (big deal, everyday driver) '96 Jeep Cherokee. Used to own '67 Dart GT - 273 V-8, '73 Challenger - 340 4BBL, '77 New Yorker Brougham - 440.
have loved big block mopars since i was a teenager and they were new. my only current mopar, though, is the 413/727 slated for my crosley wagon.
Might as well keep it going..... Exner era hemi cars are cool, but the Plymouth HyFire cars are my personal favorite. My old '55 Belvedere and '56 Fury. Hyfire
I own a few (5). None are on topic for here though. Would love to do a Model A like Jimmy White's someday, though. Jay
Yup, Got a few of them mopars too. 40 2dr sedan P10 deluxe, 66 Dart GT, 79 Lil Red Express a 39 and 46 Dodge 1 1/2 ton trucks, one will be a hauler and the other will have a frame stretch with a big bunk and C series cummins air ride with a van trailer to haul our stock cars to the track and dealing on a early 30s Chrsyler more dore that someone cut down to a pickup cab, has dual spare carriers in the front fenders, is rough and will take a lot of grinding and welding but for 30 bucks it will make a cool phantom pickup! Bill
got my fingers close to one, but none hangin around legally. was just thinking about how many mopar guys have run screaming from the HAMB...due to less than sensitive treatment...hope you can hang around.
by far the most powerful engine i've ever owned was a 440 (from a '68 gtx; had a few modifications) in a '64 sport fury. wish i had it back...
I'm building a 50 Plymouth Suburban wagon, repowered with a built slant/6 drivetrain, "Born to be Mild"!!!
yep, here's a pict of mine......I'm a glutton for punishment, I also work for Chrysler. And my dad has a 40 plymouth coupe w/ a 318 / 727.
- what are the specs on that Slant?? Mine is a 225, .040 off the head and .070 over on the pistons, Crower cam, Clifford intake and header, 4 barrel 390 cfm Holley. I also have a fresh 904 automatic with a B&M Z-gate shifter. The exhaust comes out of the headers at 2", into 18" glasspacks and out the back at 1".
Daily driver and wifes daily are 02 chrysler minivan and a 98 durango that I haul with. Old yeller is a 68 satellite now with a road runner hood, rebuilt transmission, 383, and front suspension parts on order. I can attest to the lack of MoPar parts at swap meets. Went to KC meet Saturday and there sure wasn't much.
Got a bunch of Mopar junk. Latest is a '65 Dodge shortbed Sweptline pickup that will be a B/FX clone. Anyone remember the Ram Truck FX'er? Ford had FX trucks, too. Here's a link: http://www.sweptline.com/hist/spectrucks.html The original Mopar drag trucks were '64 Max Wedges, but my '65 will be a "what if?" Hemi truck. Nose-high and lettered with lots of patina. DF
i'm a "mopar guy." just pulled the flat-6 from my '50 dodge coronet today. bought a '66 plymouth valiant with a 273 V8 recently for $250. runs great. i'm gonna swap it into the dodge. should be really fun. the dodge:
p.s. anyone want the flat-6 i pulled? i've got the gasket overhaul kit still in the box, carb halfway re-built with the rest to finish it, new oil filter, new thermostat installed, new radiator hoses, new belt, motor mounts, and a bunch of other stuff. want the rear-end, too? it's brakes were re-built with new wheel cylinders. how 'bout the radiator, gas tank, and drive shaft? pm me.
'57 Plymouth 2dr wagon Powered by Ford Can't afford a Hemi, don't want a 318 or smogger 360, can't find a BB
I have a real good friend that wants to know if someone wants to trade a 1957 Dodge custom royal 2 door for his 1953 Plymouth Cranbrook and maybe some other stuff? PM Me or email me. gumpa_38@yahoo.com
