Mopar or No Car

Hey all -

I'm new to the Chrysler. Have owned/messed with a couple other brands over many past years, and did rebuild one 360 Chrysler MANY years ago.

I bought this car (1959 Vauxhall Victor) back about the first of this year (2024). Been updating most all of the hardware, and making a few performance changes ever since.
It's a 493 in, iron head (for now), 727 manual trans., 8-3/4" axle, wrapped up in 2100lbs, 96" wheel base, full round tube framed, street legal car.

**One thing has me puzzled...other than the obvious length difference...why...did MSD (others) build the "long" distributor over the OEM shorter bodied distributor ?
