My dad almost bought an identical car to this (may be the same one) for $1800 back in the mid-80s, guy had an extra set of NOS 383 Billboards for it. Went home to think about it and it was sold the next day.
Around the same time, p***ed on a White T/A Challenger for $3800, still regrets it. The c are was really nice, similar to.this but had Valley wheels. It eas an automatic and he always prefers 4 speed cars.
